Bárbara Secco invites us to reflect on the past and future with her final degree project collection “LastFuture” for Autumn/Winter 2016-2017. Her designs represent the evolution of craftsmanship towards industrialisation.
The collection is a dialogue between beige and white tones and blues and greys, both of which are associated with industrial areas. The items in the collection feature large volumes that clash with the harmony of the human body, just as industry does with handcrafts. The designs also feature painstaking finishes, making the items elegant, high quality and original.
Secco experiments with creativity and design in a collection that highlights the major contradictions of our society.
